The World: Down Norf
The world of Trashterpiece Theater is a heightened version of late ’90s and early 2000s North Philly, and Philadelphia in general, where pride was fragile, communication was terrible, and bad decisions felt like destiny.It’s a universe built on real dating disasters, masculinity myths, and choices that only make sense when you’re young, cocky, and wrong.Anchored by recurring characters and a consistent point of view, the series explores masculinity, relationships, and identity through humor first and reflection second. Each story stands alone, but together they reveal a larger ecosystem of behavior, consequences, and hard-earned hindsight.

The main character. Leans into his height (6'7) and “Lightskin squint” to attract women. Thinks he’s the protagonist—he’s usually not.Middle Aged Perry
The Narrator. Petty, self-deprecating, reflective, mostly about why he thought being tall was a personality trait. Breaks the fourth wall with comedic setup and life lessons. Seen on screen, not just heard.P.P.

Trashcan Time Machine is the companion podcast where guests get the chance to dig into their past, and for once, they have to admit when they were trash.No victim energy. No dodging. Just the dumb, embarrassing, and ridiculous choices they made, finally under the microscope of hindsight and humor. It extends the Trashterpiece universe beyond animation, capturing the chaos, mistakes, and lessons that always arrive too late.
A Message From The Producer
TRASHTERPIECE THEATER is not just a comedy series, it's a cultural statement. This series goes beyond funny stories. It's a nuanced, unapologetic exploration of Black masculinity, sexual awkwardness, and coming-of-age, or unbecoming-of-age, experiences that have been largely overlooked in mainstream comedy. I use relatable, nostalgic, and hilarious experiences to speak to a universal but culturally specific youthful experience of sexual bravado and consequent cringe, hoping that Gen Z men and future generations will "unbecome" at an earlier age than the men of my generation.
